Design Dilemma #3 Kitchen Nightmare

From Jen:
Hi, I need some ideas to update my kitchen. New cabinetry is out of the question, so what can I do with my existing cabinets to make my kitchen look new?
Answer: Jen, I would suggest a good coat of paint, in a fresh color. Also, removing the doors and displaying some of your nicer items makes it look more "high end". Additionally, you can cut out the center of the cabinet doors, and replace with glass, definitely a more updated look! When you send in your design dilemmas, please send photos! I'd love to see some before and after pics as well, sweetie!

Design Dilemma#2: Bedroom Boredom

Allison writes:
We completely renovated our bedroom about a year ago, and now I'm really bored with the design. My husband would flip, if I asked if we could re-do the bedroom. Could you give me some advice on how to relieve bedroom boredom?
Answer: Allison, I'm happy to give you interior design advice, anything else is up to you, sweetie. But seriously, textiles, textiles, textiles; sheets and duvet covers, throw pillows, rugs, throws and even window treatments are all inexpensive ways to spice up that bedroom. Design Dilemma #1: Renters and First time homeowners

Welcome to Trouver Design Blog.
Kathy's Design Dilemma:My husband and I have just purchased our first home. I'd really love to put my own style stamp on it, especially the dining room, but this isn't our "dream home", so I don't want to invest a lot of money. What do you suggest?
Well, Kathy, I can tell you that many people feel the same way. My advice would be to invest in certain "anchor pieces". For a dining room, it would obviously be a dining table.Find one that speaks to you, your "dream table", if you will. You can then make some less expensive choices with paint, textiles, etc., and even dining chairs, for the current space. A quality piece will work for the space you live in now, and will transition beautifully to your dream home later. I'd like to show you an A-mazing Dining Table: It's the Sparta Dining Table,Design Lush's newest dining table for 2014.What a MASTERPIECE.
